Cimarron vs. Buffalo Arms?

What's the deal with these two importers? I see that Buffalo Arms actually sells guns that are imported by Cimarron. Are these leftovers from Cimarron? Is that why the prices are so much cheaper?

Please illuminate me.

Thanks

Cimarron is the importer and prices on their web page are MSRP. Buffalo Arms is a retailer and charges their wholesale cost plus. The folks at Buffalo Arms are great to deal with. My Cimarron Man With No Name Navies were bought from Buffalo Arms.

Cimarron is an importer, wholesaler and a dealer in that order. Buffalo Arms and whoever else buys from Cimarron are retail dealers. Cimarron prices their guns for retail sales to the public higher than the retail dealers they sell to are pricing their guns for sale. They do not want to undercut their retail dealers. To put it in perspective would you buy your guns for resale from someone who was selling them for the same or less than you in the retail market? I think not unless you were stupid, crazy or wanting to go bankrupt.
