New CZ on the way!!!

I have been looking at getting a new 45 for a while, but haven't been able to get my hands on many to shoot so, I decided to get a CZ 75, which I know I like, instead of buying a new 45. I decided that I would be happy with a 75b, 75b sao, or a SP01, but when I started looking, not only were there any in stock withing 100 miles, but noone could find any in stock at any of their suppliers. I didn't have much luck finding anything online either. There was an SP01 on Buds one night and when I went to order it the next morning it was gone. Yesterday I checked Buds again and they had went back to in stock status, so I jumped on one. It was twenty dollar more than the previous one had been, but I figured whats twenty bucks when you're already paying $600ish for something.

Anyways, It should ship soon and I got a local FFL that will do the transfer for me. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I've been wanting a CZ for a long time and I'll finally have one next week sometime. While I was ordering I went ahead and ordered one of the S&W models 10's too. I recently sold a couple guns to fund the new CZ and had the money left over, so I figured what the heck, may as well own a classic piece of history too.

Nice gun, you'll like it. I just sold my beloved 75bd to fund a P01.

So ah...you know CZ makes a spiffy 45.

They sure do make a darn nice lookin 45 and they are even in stock. I read that the grips are fairly large though, so I would want to handle one first and I couldn't find one to check out. I'll be happy with the sp01 and maybe I'll get a 97 in the future

I have both the SP01 and the CZ97.

Both are great shooters. The 97 is a handful. It is a big gun but it is also a soft shooter. You will like the screw in barrel bushing. I do.

I had the CZ Custom shop do a trigger job on them and got rid of the grittiness on the stock trigger. The stock trigger does get better with use.

The SP01 is an awesome gun. I've had one a few months now and can't get over how perfect the grip is. Everything about it is great.

I think you made a good choice with the SP01 and wager that you will like it a lot.

Glad to know everyone likes theirs. I'm really looking forward to getting it. I'm actually getting antsy. It hasn't shipped yet, so I'm really hoping it shows up this week and I don't have to wait til next week.

Congrat's, nice choice.

I purchased a CZ 75 SP-01 Custom Shop a few years back which I've been very pleased with.

After spending some time with my P-01 and 75B yesterday, I started thinking that maybe the 97 should be my next acquisition.

Love my CZs

Yup, considering another one...

I guess an 83, 75B, P-01, and a .22 conversion for the latter two just isn't quite enough

The CZ 83 .380ACP are very nice.

In 9mm the sub-compact RAMI and compact CZ 75 D PCR are popular choices.

CZs are fine pistols...

...I almost got one a while back when looking for a large, duty style handgun. The 97, HK 45, and the FNP 45tactical were my entire short list... eventually.

the HK felt great but I couldn't get any play at all around the dealers I could find which actually had one around. The 97 turned out to be the same deal... and no one had any... well not where I could touch it. I could only grab similar sized pistols, ala the FNP 45 Tac, whose double stack grip is indeed a handful But, actually, affter just a few moments handling it, and inserting the right back strap, it felt as great as did the HK 45! Just different. More handfilling then hand liking, as with the HK.

Ultimately as I had a non local but not terribly long distance dealer who got mine thru Davidson, with a lifetime guarantee against defects or malfunctions, and some play on top of it all, I went with the FNP 45T instead.

I loved the CZ 75, and CZ sport Tactical that I did get my hands on. Their triggers were great for stock triggers. and the natural pointing was outstanding. I sometimes regret not getting the 97.

one thing that continues to puzzle me about guns in general of late is their availability. In stock or to be oredered in, I've found scant little of what I believe is my pick over the past year in fact. I can only atribute the shortages to either a slacking off of production, or more folks gettting out and getting guns they would not oridinarily have bought.

I went to a local gun show a good while back and even posted those thoughts here I believe. Got there about an hour after it opened. Was told it would be a 3 hour wait to get in! So yeah.. there's more people buying guns lately.

a month or so ago I wanted to get a carry gun. went for the SR9C. Could not find one all in black to save my life! Had to settle for one in 40SW instead!

So I'm sure glad you got your CZ. some day I'll get one myself... that match grade sport tac or the Rami in the aluminum frame..... and 9mm. I dont' have a 9 at all. But I sure liked the feel of the CZs I held. A lot.

Good for you! Enjoy!!!
