WINCHESTER Model 06 Pump .22 Cal

Everyone, I inherited a Winchester Model 06 Pump, .22 Call S-L-LR. It has a 20/12 inch barrel and is 36 inches overall. The Serial Number is 529360 B.
The gun is in fair condition, the wooden forehand and stock is in good condition and original finish with composite buttplate. The gun fires, but occassional misfires due to a week main spring.

My questions are: Does anyone know where I can get a value for this rifle?

and

Does anyone have or know where I can get an "Owners Manual" for the rifle?

Thanks:
Ben

Winchester 1906 , Manufactured from 1906 to 1932, 800.000 made. Winchester started the year 1918 with serial number 517743 and ended 1918 with serial number 535540. So 1918 is the year you're looking for. Value? It is listed at 1000 in very good to 650 in fair. Owners manual? Back in that era most owners manuals was a slip of paper stating the model and caliber so I can't help you there. However, this is a highly collectabe rifle, do not try and " clean " it up. Oil it, wipe it and leave it alone. Don't try and fix it, let an expert do it. I would also go for a professional appraisal. Hope that helps.

A Model 1906 in new condition can run up to $2000, but the average is more like $400 or less. They made a lot of them. Gun Parts Corp. shows the mainsprings available at $17.

In some earlier research, I found a site with takedown instructions, but they were for the first model without the takedown screw and little side plate.

HHHHMMMMMM, I picked up an 06 Winchester at a gunshow about six years ago from an old man walking around with it. It is in like new condition and he even had 5 boxes of EZXS Winchester Match ammo that he originally bought for it. I'm not sure he ever shot it and he didn't remember shooting it or having it. He found it in the back of his closet when cleaning things out after his wife died. I paid him $50.00 for it. I guess I got a good deal. FWIW, it shoots in a hole at 50 yds with standard velocity ammo.

winchester model 06.-

model 834437 - short , long or long rifle.... I believe it was made in 1911 ,.... It is in great condition ... The main thing i have noticed about this gun is that it has a stainless steel barrell.... I've not noticed anyone else mention that about theirs ...... I need to know what it is worth .... I think maybe the SS barrell and the condition would make it worth a good bit more than others...

i also have an old model 06 that i picked up years ago from a co-worker who wasn't a gun person and acquired it from a father in law that had passed away....got it for $50 and it's kind rough finish wise but is very sound mechanically...great shooter.

according to the serial number it was manufactured in 1909...

If it has a stainless steel barrel it was not made in 1911. Stalinless steel was known and used in the late 1800's, but firearm use of stainless steel didn't start untill the 1960's.

Model '06 Winchester How do I replace the fore stock?

I have a very early '06 .22 short only sn 66497, it needs the fore stock replaced since it was missing when I purchased the gun. I found a very good replacement fore stock but I am at a loss in trying to put it onto the gun. How do you remove the feed tube? If I could do this then the problem would be solved!

Doprisa there is a pin in the rear band the tube is seated in just in front of the forestock. Knock it out and the tube should just slide out.
