870 barrel question????
Hey guys,
I am looking at picking up a remington 870. I have a couple barrel questions. 1. does remington make an 18" barrel for the 870 youth in 20ga. 2. same question for 870 12ga 3. are there quality after market 18in barrels for these shotguns mentioned above that won't break the bank and where can I find them on the web Thanks for any info forgot to mention, I am not looking for slug, rifled, cantil. barrels. Just a simple front bead barrel of good quality. thanks again |

I can answer #2 and #3:
2. Yes. 3. (partly answering to it).. new factory 18" can be had for low $100. Used Remington 18" barrel can be had < $100. I'd try to stick with Remington barrel unless there are some unique features offered by some aftermarket barrel manufacturer? Try Gunbroker.com or the ForSale boards on some pf the gun forums out there, someone mentined that often people are selling their barrels on AR15.com too. I bought my barrel from a seller who posted a FS ad on ShotgunWorld.com Last edited by WagonM; April 2, 2009 at 01:30 PM. |

The answer to question 1:
Yes. http://www.remington.com/products/fi...express_jr.asp They offer a factory 18.75" length remchoked barrel in 20 ga. Don't know how much it would cost separately but a phone call to Remington can answer that question .
