here's a new one

In the process of restoring my m24/47 mauser 8mm I want to add a scope any suggestions on a scope to use and a mount if someone can point me in the direction of a diagram to mount it that would be a huge plus. As always thank you for your time y'all.

Assuming you are not going to try to drill and tap the gun yourself (something I don't recommend unless you have considerable experience), you would be better to consult with a gunsmith on the mount. He should have several different types to choose from, as well as a choice of scopes.

Note that that rifle has a shorter receiver than the standard 98 Mauser, so some mount bases for the standard receiver won't work on the 24/47 or the 48.
