K-Frame 3" Leather Holster Recommendations
Hey guys,
I'm in the process of purchasing a S&W Model 13, which I'm very excited about, and I plan to carry it on occasion. Most often I'll be carrying it out on my property and such, but I'd also like to be able to conceal carry it if the mood strikes. Looking for holster recommendations. I've looked at OWB holsters from Milt Sparks, Galco, DeSantis, Kramer, etc, but having a hard time choosing. I don't mind spending good money for a good holster, but I'd love to hear what you guys would recommend for a good concealable OWB holster for a 3" K Frame. Both which maker, and which specific model. Thanks so much.

I am a big fan of the Galco Fletch for OWB leather needs. I read a lot of good things about the Simply Rugged products too, though they are more generic in appearance.

I've carried my Model 19 K-Comp in a DeSantis Speed Scabbard a bit. It is a decent quality holster but the leather is thin. I plan on getting a better holster at some point. I've been meaning to check Simply Rugged and see if they think a three inch K-frame will fit in their Silver Dollar pancake-style holster. They list the K-frames in their larger Sour Dough pancake holster. I have a sliver dollar for a Colt Agent and it is a good holster.

I have a Simply Rugged Pancake for my S&W M66 which I like. Seems well made and didn't cost an arm and a leg.

This is an l-frame model but Matt makes it for a k-frame also. Very stiff leather and the curl allows easy re-holstering. https://mdwhitefieldleather.com/

I'm happy with a DeSantis Model 12 001 holster for my K-frame Smith (Model 12). Well-made and fits perfectly. I much prefer thumb-break and lined holsters for most of my handguns and this holster has both features.

I carry my S&W model 66 every day on my ranch in a leather Bianchi holster with snap. combine that with a Simply Rugged belt and you have a winning combo. Feel naked without it!

I just sold my 3" M66... have a wright leatherworks predator owb and a garrett industries IWB holster. have several from both manufacturers, great products.
both have little wear, in fact i received the garrett after i sold the pistol. PM me if you would be interested... will sell you both if you would want. if not interested, that's cool... but I can say both of those products are great choices. https://www.wrightleatherworks.com/p...ancake-holster https://www.giholsters.com/product-p/hst2r00.htm |

I make holsters
I make holsters. They are made of double cowhide where the inside is smooth like the outside. They don’t ever wear out. This one is for a 2” model 10, so a 3” would be 1” longer.
