Anyone do trigger work on a Mossberg semi-auto?
I bought a Mossberg SA-20 semi-auto recently and the trigger weight was above 8# on my scale. I bought the lighter MCarbo trigger return spring but that only dropped it to 6-6 1/2#.
The issue seems to be the hammer spring which looks really stout. The hammer pivots on a tube-type pin with a slot cut on the underside that holds a leg of a torsion spring. It would seem that holding the spring leg down and out of the slot would allow the tube-type pin to be pushed out. But the hammer spring looks like it has enough tension to launch the next space shuttle and I’m worried whether I could get it back in place without a special tool? Anyone try this yet? Thanks.
