Sticky pump action

I bought a used Savage model 69RXL 2 years ago 90% condition.
I cleaned & oiled every parts that needed oil. But the pump action is still "sticky" even though it's clean. I don't want to remove the sideplate w/o asking for advice if I need to do it. Can anybody give me suggestions. Thanks !

Other than stripping down the gun and cleaning every part, you might try to find an auto shop or transmission shop that has a sonic cleaning bath. Remove the wood parts, and dunk the gun. That should clean everything. If it still is sticky, you will have to strip it or have it checked by a gunsmith (I recommend the latter).
