I carried a Glock 19 on my ankle for years. Used the Lou Alessi Ankle Rig and it just disappeared under the pant leg.

Weight was never an issue. And no, I'm not a giant guy.

I generally find OWB or IWB with a good belt to be most comfortable. Shoulder holsters have some advantages for use when one spends a lot of time in a vehicle. Chest holsters work better with a backpack or slung rifle.

Shoulder and chest rigs may be easier to deal with in the rest room.

I would have chosen a pocket holster were it offered.

I've got a shoulder and an IWB holster. Depends on what I'm wearing, and where I'm going, and how sort my back may or may not be among other things. If you're asking to find out where YOU want to carry, don't pick just one- especially not just the "belt" which is more than one for most of us. You'll want a belt and a non-belt method.

Ankles and pockets are usually for backups or around the house carry.

+1 for Bob Wright's "just right".

For deeper CCW I'm still on the belt with a pancake holster under an untucked shirt.

I have a custom made IWB. The backing is leather, the holster is kydex. Very comfortable and conceals well.

Cordura pancake. Not nearly as sexy as leather, but it won't affect the fini$h on expen$ive blued guns.

In the country, I use a an upright shoulder holster or unhidden hip western or WWII style holster. Would be cool to have a Galco Miami Classic holster, though.
