1975 12Ga Belgium Made A-5 - Ring order
Browning A-5 Experts! I took this 1975 A-5 apart to clean it up and am now having problems getting the rings back in order. Two Brass rings 4 & 5 and 3 metal beveled rings 1, 2 & 3. I need the order they go back on. I know the normal config is on the outer end of the barrel away from the receiving end shown as "A". Thanks in Advance!!!
ETA: I want this set up for short brass. |

A5 Magnum. Sure, no problem. Gonna cost ya, though. Got chocolate?
JK. Normal configuration: 1, 4, 2, 5, 3. For 2-3/4" shells: 1 , 4, and 2 go between the spring and receiver, 3, 5 on the far end. If you are still having trouble cycling, put 3 with the taper against the spring and 5 on top of it. Just FYI, many A5 Magnums had trouble cycling 2-3/4" shells with any configuration, so if it still has trouble cycling reliably, put 3 under the spring as well.
