New Shotgun
I bought a Benelli Vinci. This is my first autoloader. Do I need to do anything
to it before I shoot it the first time? Should I clean it, oil it, any suggestions? |

Definitely clean it before you shoot it.
I bought my mav 88 and was so excited, I went to the range right after and after about 20 shells it started jamming. I knew it was because I didnt clean it out before shooting it. Went home, stripped, cleaned, and lubed it up and went to the range a few days later. Put 25 shells through it no problem, couldnt have shot any smoother. Have fun with it! |

You got good advice...
For what its worth on my Benelli Super Sport - I use Break Free on the receivers rails ( where the bolt assembly rides ) - and I use Break Free on all the bolt components. On the barrel to receiver connection - and on the choke tube threads in the barrel and on the chokes themselves, I use Break Free there as well. I spray a "little bit" of light oil - Rig Oil, Rem Oil whatever you have on the Trigger Group springs. Periodically, I run a patch with some solvent into the magazine / then lube it "lightly" with a little spray oil on a clean patch - and put it back together. Congratulations on a nice gun / hope you have a lot of fun with it. |
