Paying for WW

If you pay for WW how much do you pay per pound? Just looking for a rough estimate to offer.

Thanks.

20 to 30 cents per pound is what I pay.

Some people pay up to .75-1.00/lb shipped. That is WAY more than I'd pay. I think the "going rate" is about 20-25 bucks for a 5 gallon bucket full if you can find a local shop willing to part with them.

Ok. Second questions. I know a guy who has 100 lbs of lead. He said he melted scuba weights, pipes, and wheel weights. He does not know the temp he melted out and might have zinc wheel weights in it. I have never casted before and I am looking to start.

He is only wanting 20 dollars for the 100 lbs. If I keep my pot at 650-700 degrees will I be able to make sure its pure lead?

PASS and spend your money elsewhere. ANY melted zinc, and it's un-usable.

I agree with the above pass it not worth the trouble. I spend about 10 cents per usable lb of lead from the local car dealerships.
