I like the Ruger 22/45.... mine is stainless with the bull barrell. Good gun.

What about a High Standard double Nine, nickel plated. Is that a good one to buy? I currently have a line on one pretty cheap.

Colts/Umerex .22-1911 rail gun come quickly to mind.

I finally found a spare mag for the 1911-22, brought it to the counter
and $42 later walked out with it.Ouch.

Personally, I'm a Mki fan. Granted none of the internals are MKi anymore. But shoots great with quality std vel ammo (CCI) and still feeds HV with a little loss of accuracy. As for some of the revolver suggestions, I'm surprised no one has said S&W 617 or Heritage Rough Rider. Granted the 617 is a expensive rimfire but it can be found used at a decent price. And the Heritage is a cheap revolver but i've had mine well over 10 years and is has given me zero issues.

I like my Buckmark, but recently obtained a Sig 1911-22. It shoots really smooth and is accurate. Got it on sale at Sportsman's Warehouse for less tha 400.

My favorite full size .22 bottom feeder is the Ruger mark series! Currently my mark 3 standard is my favorite semi 22 to shoot.

Ruger Mark is my vote. Smooth,accurate. Once you get the hang of it it breaks down with 1 pin. No tools required, except maybe a paper clip. My 22/45 has eaten everything I have put in it from wolf standard velocity to HV ammo. I dropped a cheep red dot on it and I can put a 4-5" group at 100yds with mixed ammo.
I have never herd anything bad about the buckmark either. And I owned a Neos. $250 and it is accurate and reliable.
