Used Barrels
Does anyone know a good source for used SG barrels? I'm looking for a smooth slug barrel for a Remington 1100 to use as a HD gun so I don't want to spend a fortune. Thanks

A used gun store / pawn shop ...in my area .....has a box in the corner of the shop with about 2 dozen barrels in it ...and will often part something out / if you buy the gun / and don't want the rest of it.
I would just shop the used gun shops / pawn shops in your area that specialize in guns ..... |

Don't set your price expectations too unrealistic. Short, smooth HD type barrels tend to command the highest resale price while the long hunting type "standard" barrels tend to be the cheapest. I think this is simply a reflection of the law of supply and demand. Joe goes into Walmart and buys a standard hunting shotgun and starts to customize it. His "excess" standard barrel has to compete with all the others out there for a buyer.

I've had several good transactions with Corson's Barrels.

If anyone coming across this wants to sell one of those standard long 870 12 gauge 3" Express barrels I am looking for one. While I have been looking two chopped theirs; one after a few two many beers.

That is a false statement, I never said I'd had too many... just enough to lubricate the mind.
