a little feed back sure would help alot
So, time is going by and its time to add a new pistol to the ol' collection. I'v had my eye on a HK USP for probaly somewere around a year. Now it has everything I have been looking for in a pistol, even the options for attachments. I would like to attach a laser but i think kimber trace has that covered for me. Now this is were Im all kinds of confussed and branching out for help. The new Springfield XDm 3.8 has come out. It too has all the options im looking for. By the way what im looking for in my next pistol idealy would be a 40. 16rds estimated, good feel, good grips, a smooth action. I really like the compacts but the mags never hold enough to make range time to fun.
So if anyone has had, or have either of these pistols please send some feed back or if you know of any other pistols that fit my criteria of what im looking for please throw it out there. And also im looking for a decently priced firearm nothing like I.E. wilson combat. Thank yall' much |

The HK-USP series is a truly fine pistol. Mine is the .45 compact. They are light, accurate and reliable. The down side is that mags are quite expensive, usually $40 or more and they have one of the worst double action triggers around (much worse than my Sigs, SW 3rd generations, Berettas). Make sure that you try one out before you buy one and then compare it to some other pistols and see what works best for you. I have not tried the SA-XD pistols although they have a good reputation. My HK wears tritium night sights and the rail is left usused. Good luck. best wishes- oldandslow |

I like the H&K better than I do the XD's ...but I'm not really a big poly fan.
If you haven't yet done it / I'd suggest going to a range where you can at least rent one of them before you make up your mind ( then take a good look at Sig's offerings too - before you buy )... Sig has some certified pre owned models on the market - that are awful good guns if you can find a good one ( like a model 226 )... |
