I am left handed and have a Springfield Loaded 1911. I plan to have an ambidextrous thumb safety installed and have narrowed my choice to Chip McCormick's because its the least expensive. Wilsons, Kings and other brands are almost twice as much. Are they worth it?

TJA, I hate to talk down about anyone's product. In fairness I have to say that I've only attempted to install one McCormick ambi and the pins were not square to the safety levers. When it was in the pistol the grip safety wouldn't function. I always recommend Swenson Ambis. Wilson are good also. This will most likely be a one time replacement. I would pay for the quality of a better brand. In other words, yes they are worth more money. George
