Midway and Dillon come to mind, but most reloading suppliers carry .308 brass. You can get a Midway catalog by calling 1-800-243-3220 or go to their web site at WWW.midwayusa.com.

You might consider once fired military brass. It's much cheaper. I've used it for years with excellent results. Unfortunatly, I can't find a source at the moment. Maybe someone else can help with that?

JHS, I deal here in NY with a Charles Turner at Village Guns Ph#800-671-0350 7am-3:30pm EST M-F or FAX# 607-865-7202. He sells a wide range of once fired brass at fairly reasonable prices.(308 Commercial-$55 per Thousand on special) or lesser amounts if wanted. The brass is NOT processed but, cleans up well. Also has 308 GI, processed and primed $109 per thousand.
He is good to deal with and ships mailorder.

JHS; take my advice. Buy a large amount, say, 1000 rds. of new, primed, preferably nickel plated brass.

The difference in unprimed and primed brass is usually less than the cost of the primers.

All of your brass will be of the same lot, thus will perform uniformly.

You, of course, are aware that military brass is thicker than commercial brass, so powder charges must be lowered slightly for military brass. Also, military brass has the primers crimped in place. This crimp must be removed before reloading.

Brass also weakens with each use; perhaps not much, but new brass is strongest.

Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. Walt

PS I used to use GI brass in 30-06, would ream out the primer pocket, and put up with dirty brass, as I couldn't afford a tumbler (not a problem with Ni plated brass). Actually, I am not sure tumblers were available. I was 14 years old then. Walt

JHS,If you dont mind removing the primer crimp a fellow by the name of Jerry Hazlet sells military .308 brass by the boat load about 30.00 per thousand plus shipping.I bought some he will not rip you off and the brass is in very good shape.Remember if you buy mil. brass to reduce you starting load by 8 to 12% because mil spec brass has less case volume than commercial brass.His phone # is 405-284-6869.
