Ok, just got a Glock 36

My first handgun My question is this: I looked up the Born on date using the serial number and it said 2000. This may sound stupid, but does this means it's old and crappy and had 1 million rounds through it?

no it just means that it was made in 2000 and that is has been sitting for awhile. just clean it good and do a few function tests to make sure the springs still work. but if you are woried have a compitent gunsmith take a look at it.

No. Does it look old and crappy?

I have Glocks made in 1988 with a million (well maybe not that many) rounds through them and they are not old and crappy.

I have even older guns with even more rounds through them and not even the 1917 Luger P08 is old and crappy...yet.

In answer to my own question

I looked around and found a Glock stress test, this guy fired 100,000 rounds through a Glock without replacing anything and it still works.
