M&P 15-22 Picatinny Rail Sections

So my brother was messing with the bottom Picatinny rail a few weeks ago and now it is missing. So I am making him buy another one but not sure if this uses a specific one or if this one will work:

https://www.amazon.com/Monoki-Picati...6p+15-22&psc=1

The piece missing can be seen on this link and selecting the 2nd picture on the left:

If this does not work, which one will work? It did have a hand grip which was removed as planning on buying another one. This is used mainly by my son.

Thanks in advanced.

The 15-22 has M-LOK slots, which are just slots of a certain size - that's a standard attaching system, just get a piece of rail for M-LOK..

The other attaching system is keymod - which is a slot that has a larger hole and a smaller slot.

The Amazon post you put up is for a keymod style attachment - sometimes they work for either but better off just buying the right rail for M-LOK.

BTW this is nothing special to the 15-22, the rifle comes with a little piece of rail that can be attached there but is made so you can buy extra rails and mount stuff wherever you want.

Thanks for the help. Yes, wouldn't want to buy one and not fit. Better buy right the first time. Yeah, unfortunately when my brother messed with that small piece, it may have gotten loose and now it is nowhere to be found. Which is why I am looking into purchasing more than just one rail. Again, thanks for the help.

Yep. MLOK 5-slot accessory polymer rail.
