Monocular REI Z13 10-30X

I have one of these Brunton Echos 7X I like quite a bit. It works well for scanning the woods when I am out hunting so I am not tempted to use a rifle scope or if I don't have a scope. It works well to check a target out to about 50 yards. At 100 yards I can't see holes from even a 50 cal projectile. I don't think it is actually 7X, but likely more like 4X. SOme reviews report similar reduced magnification. Hard for me to be sure about that though. Reviews indicating eye relief is very short are also right on. Can't look through it with eye protection on.
Extremely light, compact(pocketable), cheap, and hasn't broken/scratched yet.

I'd like to buy something similar with a little more magnification. A few things I have found:
Brunton 10-30X
REI Z13
I'd really like to keep it in that price range and as small and light as possible. Lots of problems reported with acjusting magnification on monoculars, so maybe the variable ones are a bad option. The Brunton would be about right if actual the magnification is proportional to the 7X. Range from about 5X-15X.
