Lee Enfield rimfire trainer

I glommed a SMLE .22 training rifle a few years back and really never shot it. This weekend my youngest son was visiting, so we hit the range and fired a few of the safe queens, including the trainer.

@50 yards with plain old Aguilla ammo. Trigger is pretty bad on the SMLE, so it was a challenge

Thanks, guys

My first shot was kind of funny. I heard the striker go forward, but the report was so quiet and there being almost no recoil, I thought it had misfired. I turned and looked at my son, who was spotting, and he nodded and said "9 ring". LOL.

We also shot a .22 MAS 45 safe queen and it was pretty accurate too.

Are these rebarrelled or Parkerifled?

Parkerifling is a lining procedure and products developed by A.G. Parker in England sometime before 1910.

So it's a single shot? Sorry, don't know enough about the rifle, very interesting.

You should check out Ian Skennerton's Lee Enfield Rifles.

My son and I have two No4 MK1 enfields and have been shooting with two other good friends that have several enfields too.
One showed up at the range yesterday with a 1914 trainer like the one shown in the OP. I was pleasantly surprised with its accuracy, and was busting clays on the 125 yard berm with it once we adjusted the sights.
Its a cool rifle, thanks for sharing pics.
