Old Winchester Primers

Folks, I have been given some old Winchester primers identified as "Non-Mercuric Staynless Primers" The numbers are: No. 115, with a subscript of K1615P, and No. 120, subscript K1630P. THe box indicates that they were manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms Co. New Haven Conn. USA, Division of Olin Industries, Inc. I have not found anyone who can tell me the proper application of these primers, can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Stan. Looking in an old reloading manual I have, the Win #120-81/2 is a large rifle primer. They show a 116-6 1/2 as a small rifle primer. There was no mention of a #115. The numbers preceded by the letter K are lot number, I believe. Hope this was of some help.

What is the diameter? Large measure .210 inches. Small measure .175 inches. There was an oddball used in .45 ACP ammo. I have seen the story in the Rifleman, but don't remember most of it. Do they have anvils? Might be something made for berdan pockets? good luck.
