Hornady manual typo
Just got off the phone with the Hornady people, because I had a question about their book...
In the spiel at the beginning of the .45 AUTO they mention the "best" powder they used for the lighter bullets was Vhit-N320 but had Viht N-330 in the recipe. They called down to the ballistics lab and found out that section hasn't been rewritten for the last couple editions and Viht N-330 in the recipe is correct, 320 is no longer accurately in their .45 recipes. As this may have been around for a couple editions, I may be behind the times, but for those others getting started, or getting free 185 gr XTP's like I am, it's good to know. |

I saw it in the 9th Edition, but Hornady thought it was also in the 8th edition

If you buy a new book it is important to download the erata sheets that go with it.

It's not currently in the errata that I saw. And I don't know if it will be. There is no recipe for 320, just a comment that it was the most accurate powder for the lighter weights.
