Need Tips! Changing front Sights CZ-75
Hi.
I just got my brand new CZ-75 SP-01 Shadow with an adjustable rear sight. The problem is that I'm shooting to high now, and can't adjust the rear sight any lower. So I need to replace the front sight with a higher sight. Have anyone seen a youtube video of this beening shown or has anyone done this procedure. I would greatly appriciate any tips regarding tools and stepwise guide ?

This is just my opinion but, I would take it to a gunsmith to change out the front sight.

That was my initial idea
but in our 150.000 people city there's only one gunsmith, and he don't accept any new work until after August.... To busy I guess...

It's just
tapped into a slot on the barrel, then secured wit a pin across underneath..
According to the pro's it's just to tap out the pin and GENTLY tap the sight out..

That's what mine looks like , it is held in place by a small roll pin . Do you have the replacement in hand or know where to get one ?

You should be able to reuse the pin , it's a roll pin . You probably won't have to remove the pin all the way out , just enough to release the sight , piece of Cake !

If you have a new sight from CZ, or the CZ Custom Shop, you will have to cut the roll pin groove on the underside of the sight. You can reuse the roll pin many times. A triangular file will work, but it's slow; a Dremel with a thin cut-off wheel works great, but go slow, real slow.
I've done this dozens of times. |
