pre-64 Model 70 rear sight

Help !

I need a folding leaf barrel mounted sight assembly to replace a missing one on an all original pre-64 (1953) standard Model 70 .30 '06 that i may acquire shortly. The dovetail cut is intact and unmodified.

Any idea if the Marbles folding leaf will fit ?

Any sources for vintage sights? (Already tried the all the obsolete parts sources for moedl 70's listed on the winchester website with no luck.)

Any other options for a folding leaf ?

Marble makes folding leaf rear sights in several dovetail sizes. There may be others. Try www.brownells.com for purchase or www.marblearms.com for more info. Your local gunsmith should be able to order for you, or try other parts sources.
