colt/ walther 1911-22 questions
Hey,
I am brand new to the forum and this is my first post. I am considering buying the colt/ walther 1911-22 rail gun. I am just curious about how long the gun will last me and how customizable it is. Can you change the grips, hammer, trigger, etc. With a standard 1911? Is this gun worth the money? Thanks, frank |

All the parts you named can be interchanged with standard 1911 parts (subject to the usual caveat that NO 1911 part is truly "drop-in").
This might help you: http://ezine.m1911.org/showthread.php?t=86 Is it worth the money? That's a personal decision. I have shot it (the owner of the range where I shoot bought one for himself -- that should say something). I have also shot the Chiappa, which is a steamin' pile of [bleep] IMHO. If I didn't already have a .22 1911 I would seriously consider the Umarex. However, I had already built my own using a Ciener conversion and a no-name receiver I picked up as surplus, so the Umarex wasn't in the cards for me just because I don't need TWO .22 caliber 1911s.
