Colt Python repair

I have a Colt .357 Ser. #98XX with a timing issue. When I pull the hammer back veeerrrry slowly and then while holding hammer back pull trigger the cylinder will line up. I have tried peening the small hand to stretch the metal but alas no good. For the knowlegable gunsmiths out there my question is : What is a rough estimate of the cost to repair it? Thanks in advance for your time in answering.

Cost to repair depends entirely on what's wrong.
It could be the hand, but it could also be other things.
Without knowing, you can't do more than guess.

If you want it done right, fast, and at a good price, send it in to Colt.
Want it done WRONG take it to your local gunsmith.

Colt will send you an estimate for cost before doing anything.

Python number 98XX was made in 1960.
These older models are just too valuable to chance it...send it to Colt.
