EGW 1-piece base for Remington 700
Any good reasons I shouldn’t save $100 by passing on a high end steel base in favor of an aluminum EGW? It will be going on a SPS Tactical .308 that probably won’t spend the next 10 years getting beat up being hauled through the boonies in a drag bag.

There are 6 rifles around the house with EGW picitinny rails...we really like them. EGW makes good rings as well, (also Burris Extreme rings are a really good value/tough). Evolution Gun Works picitinny rails are what Howa rifles come with out of the box. We put them on every new rifle thats needs them around here.
A+ customer service as well. Yep, that a EGW picitenny rail on our Fulton Armory Titon UPR 308 win....its as tough as the receiver its setting on.
