Deals at WalMart

Was checking out the local WalMart yesterday and found some deals. (I think)
NEF 20ga - $85.00
Various .22LR's were around $100. Marlin and Remington
(They had a real nice Remington bolt .22 stainless for around $150 IIRC.
Camo Mossberg 500 - $200, IIRC

This was in Ashburn Va.
HTH.

wally world has good deals all of the time. they don't have a great selection, but definitely good prices. i love the fact that they still sell guns in this pc country.

just remember to support your local dealer when possible. keeping the money in your city/state is a good thing.

Walmart

I went to Wallyworld a few years ago, and asked about a Mossberg 500 marked at $89. I told them it was priced wrong, but the said that was the price. Didn't need it, but had to at that price.

not all ammo at all walmarts?

walmart here in mountain view, CA only stocks (visibly) shotgun ammo. do you have to ask to buy the other stuff, or is CA a 'no bullet' state for Walmart?

Sven, the Walmarts around here don't stock any ammunition visibly, all of it is under the counter, and you have to ask them to pull it out for you. Maybe they do something similar out there.

There are some Walmarts here in/near Boston that don't even carry firearms let alone ammo.

What model Remington bolt .22 did they have? That doesn't sound right to me.

Good question. After checking the Remington website it doesn't look like they currently produce a bolt .22. I will have to swing by there again and see if they still have it. The WalMart just moved into a new location and seemed to have quite a bit of older model rifles on sale with sale tags. For instance all of their 700's and 870's were pre-lock, so they seemed to have some old stock that they were trying to get rid of. The .22 was a really nice looking stainless rifle. I will check to see if they still have it but if you notice the date of this thread it was March that I saw this. I'll let you know.

Thanks.
