Kollmorgen Scope w/ 26mm Rings for Henry Rifle

OK, so I have a hand-me-down Kollmorgen scope w/ 26mm dovetail rings (approx 20mm inside dovetail width) that I would like to mount on a new Henry single shot rifle. The problem, of course, is that I haven't been able to find a suitable scope base (# 82 Weaver scope base is recommended for that rifle) which will accept the scope/ rings combo; much less be compatible with the rifle. Was hoping to not have to buy new scope/rings unless absolutely necessary. Fairly thorough internet search has turned up nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

I just scoped a Henry single shot and had the same problem. I too was only able to find the Weaver base or the one Henry puts out for it....nothing that would fit dovetails. I ended up with the Henry base and high Leupold PRW rings. One good thing about the Henry base.... I didn't have to remove the existing rear sight to mount it.

Sir, did you use larger rings (ie 30mm etc) and "shims" to account for the scope 26mm diameter?

My scope was a 1" Burris so no shimming needed. But this looks like something that would work for you.....
