.452 300gr Hornady XTP
Got a box of these before the current availability drama and was wondering if any of you had tried it in a 450 Bushmaster? Have been using the Speer Gold Dot 454 and it works fine, but it's not available. I still have several factory 250 FTX, but they don't pass through on body shot hogs.

I use them in mine. I won't share my load data, but they shoot better in my rifle than the 250 grain bullets shoot. Overall, great bullet from what I can tell

Thanks, Kilo. I'm looking to push them to 1900, with the Hornady recommended Lil'Gun.

What platform? If this is a bolt gun, you can easily push them 1900 fps. With an AR platform, that is pushing it a bit.

Mine really likes magnum primers with Lil Gun.

I have a Bushmaster AR, which Hornady X uses for load data. I've used the recommended WLR primers with 250 FTX and Lil'Gun. I'm in the Mag primers raise pressure up to 5k school. I agree, no max loads for ARs.

I used the 300xtp with 33.0 grains of IMR4227 at a 2.070 OAL. I didn't chrony those but I have a note that says they shot a 2" group at 50 yards.
My goto load are those 250 FTX loaded with 37.0 grains of IMR4227 @2.225 OAL. Those shoot 1962 fps with a 17SD and print a 1" group at 50 yards.

BerettaPro, you should try Lil'Gun. 250FTX print one hole 3/4" at 50 at 2100+
