While many good choices abound, it comes down to the one that YOU can handle and shoot effectively - IMO, try several brands and see what works best in your gun

Barndog -- We still have not heard from you as to what is imprinted on the barrel of your revolver. There is lots of advice above, much of which I agree with for the .38 special cartridge (.38sp CTG). But if your weapon is made for the .38 S&W cartridge (.38S&W CTG -- I think I got that right), most of the above (except the guy who said, "I haven't a clue") does not apply.

Agree with the shoot them to find what works best.
My wife and I prefer Corbon DPX and Speer Gold Dot HP short barrel in 138 grain or under for alloy j-frames. |

I wish I could buy the Nyclad HP bullets [only] to reload.
