Hate to be 'that' guy

But, no Ruger Bisley? Fortunately there is a fix for that.

A couple of those .45s are ex-Bisleys. One started out life as a Blackhawk, became a Bisley, then back to Blackhawk.

Many years ago I set up a .45 in 4 5/8" and 7 1/2" barrel lengths with Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk, and Bisley grip frames. Tested them each with mild to fire-breathin' handloads to see which suited me best. After all the smoke cleared I found I didn't like the Bisley so much, especially with heavily loaded heavy bullet loads, 350 gr. bullets at about 1100 fps or so.

Here is the 4 5/8" Bisley in Bisley attire:

I know, I know, the Bisley grip is supposed to be the best for stout loads, but didn't pan out for me.

Strange affliction

But I have heard that some genetic anomolies exist out there where it is possible to suffer from such a disease

Well, yeah I have a DA or tow, though I am trying to swap out to mostly single actions. Here are my .44s:

And .45 Smiths:

A couple of Model 19s:

K- and L- Frames:

And, a couple of J-Frames:

. I only have one DA left here... a .44Spec Bulldog. Until I can find a .44Spec or .45 Colt SA that packs as well for in-town CC, it will stay.

Well, I did that. But then I wanted to learn more, and from firsthand experience. I tried nearly everything I had heard, shot everything from wax bullets to 3Fg blackpowder, and everything was just so much fun I didn't know where to stop

Uh oh... Bob then you have been bitten by the gunittus bug. A very nasty but that goes around. It leads to a downward spiral to collectvius syndrome.

The only cure known is 'bankruptitus'.

And that cure is worse than the disease in many respects.

I think I'm gonna go with Deaf Smith's post, and up it to your contrary post with the .41 Magnum...same holster, different caliber!!!

Personally, I'd go with a RUGER SuperRedhawk ALASKAN in .44, but I love this thread and all the pix of all the guns, whatever they are.
Damn nice collection.

Aside from life's necessities, what good is money if you can't buy guns with it.

Great thread Mr. Wright. I liked this comment from Deaf Smith.

There is a 20" Rossi 92 that goes with these two, but I don't have a pic. I just happened to be cataloging my irons into a spreadsheet the other day and snapped this.
