3rd OPEN HOLSTER DAY RALLY - Annapolis, MD

MARYLAND SHALL ISSUE

- ANNOUNCES THE -

3rd OPEN HOLSTER DAY RALLY

January 18th, 2010 (MLK Day)

12 Noon to 2:00 PM

On Lawyer’s Mall, Annapolis Maryland

The Permit is Pending so -

http://www.marylandshallissue.org/

Purpose: To have a large, completely peaceful and unarmed gathering of supporters of Maryland “Shall Issue” and 2nd Amendment rights. We will be wearing empty holsters in protest of the current “Discretionary Issue” system that sees Handgun Carry Permits issued only to those politically connected or dealing in extraordinarily large amounts of physical cash, or the occasional person who can meet the high burden of proof needed to receive one for self defense.

How to Participate: The intent is to have a nice day with the family and friends while wearing, in plain sight, an empty holster. We are bringing our message to the court yard of Maryland's lawmakers. Join us at Lawyer’s Mall, located at College Ave. & Rowe Blvd., Annapolis, introduce yourself and make new friends.

Basic Safety Rules: All holsters must remain empty at all times. Do not put toy guns, training guns or the like in your holster. We want to emphasize the emptiness of the holsters and our lack of protection. The holster will simply be a fashion accessory, symbolizing our vulnerability to criminals.

Long Term: The plan is to build on each Open Holster Day Rally, gathering more protesters each time, to take the protest to the next “Shall Issue" bill hearing and any other bills that concern our 2nd Amendment Rights. Join us, make friends and help maintain your Rights in Maryland.

PLAN TO JOIN US AND BRING YOUR FAMILY!

Bump to make sure that people know!

This IS the big one folks, we need bodies in front of the Legislators in order to convey our message. The other Open Holster Rally's were leading up to this one.

Come out and support you Rights.

P.S. The Permit IS Approved and in my hands!

MONDAY!

We're coming down to the wire!

We'll see you tomorrow at Noon. This is our chance to show our Legislators (they will be working on Monday) that our numbers are growing and the tide is changing.

Delegates Michael Smigiel and Don Dwyer as well as Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America are confirmed to speak. Other Legislators have said they would join us for a meet and greet.

We only have the Mall from Noon till 2:00 PM. There is a lot to fit into a two hour window, so be there at Noon to enjoy it all.

Bring your friends and your family.

I’ll see you on Lawyers Mall in Annapolis tomorrow.

Put bananas in the holsters. It helps point out the absurdity.

Yeah, I'm serious.
