Bullet Pulling
Loaders:
The thread on pulling bullets reminded me of a good tip that might be of use in the process. I have a RCBS kinetic bullet puller "hammer". It came with a split collet and "O" ring device that was just a pure misery to use. Then, I found out that any ordinary standard SHELLHOLDER can be used in its place. Just insert the cartridge in the shellholder, drop into the puller and screw the top on. Works great! No fumbling around with those damn "O" rings trying to get it all together and stuffed into the puller. I don't know if the shellholder will fit into the top of other make pullers, and I can't take credit for this discovery, though I can't remember where I heard about it. Glad I did! Gascheck |

took a steel washer that had same or nearly same I.D. as rimless shell/case O.D. cut in half, filed I.D and O.D. to fit inserted in "hammer" and whack away |

GASCHECK--
Thanks for the tip! Will try it the next time I use the bullet puller. I see others have the same opinion of the collet as I do. |
