Rear sight options for EAA Witness (Full Size)

Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket sights that can be made to fit into the rear dovetail of a Witness Full Size. My 10mm shoots a couple of inches high and replacing the sight would be SO much simpler than machining on this one to move the two dots down

I don't really want to machine on the slide as it is brand new and NOT in any need of refinishing at this point.

TIA,

Saands

The best thing to do is contact EAA.
They sell several different sights, including at least one that's adjustable.

They also will likely have different height rear sights to solve your problem.

If the gun is new, a different sight would likely be free.

Do a search here:

If you call EAA, there's a guy there named (IIRC) Brian who's a total jerk. You'll know in the first 10 seconds if it's him. Hang up, call back and tell the girl you want someone else.

I called the gal in parts at EAA and left her a message to get back to me. When she called back, she was nice enough and knew that they did stock 3 different heights of rear fixed sights - so that is progress. Unfortunately she didn't know which one I have and she transferred me to Paul (who has QUITE the reputation at the CZ Forum) ... but he wasn't answering the phone, so I will wait for his call and see if he is as rude as everyone seems to say. I have yet to have anyone at EAA actually answer the phone ... I've called a half a dozen times and it is always the case that I have to leave a message.

Does anyone know if the sights are marked for size? Mine has a "2" on the base ... I'm wondering if that means "medium height"

Thanks,
Saands

My witness 10mm tore up an EAA supersight. They replaced it for free, and I replaced the recoil spring with a heavier one. The second one has lasted over 3000 rounds (the first failed in less then 700 rnds) so I think I have the problem licked. Keep it in mind.
