Simplest Case Prep
So I'm thinking of trying a new case prep technique. Let me know what you think.
1) Decap 2) Rub cases clean with silicone cloth 3) Wipe cases with dry cloth 4) Brush out inside of case with bronze brush 5) Clean primer pocket The caliber I'm considering this for is 45-70. I reload in small quantities for it, and it's a pain to do ultrasonic stuff and deal with dry times. What you guys think? Last edited by ckpj99; November 30, 2014 at 12:54 AM. |

10 minutes in a 250 degree oven is too long for drying?

When at the range I reload the same case over and over between shots, I deprime and collet neck size in one step. Then I seat a primer. Then I add powder. Then I switch to the other press and seat the bullet.
The hard part is getting my old body in and out of the vehicle so many times. I would shoot out the window, but I get better accuracy prone on the ground.
