Shotgun Identification
Hello, ive been researching an old shotgun of my step-sons and cant find any info. It says WesternField mod 19 then has 4 letters on trigger guard that are HXTR those are the only markings on the entire gun, its a single barrell single shot 12 ga. looks good but barrell is slightly pitted inside my stepson got it from his grandmother and was wanting me to find info the only thing ive found is that WesternField was made by Iver Johnson, Montgomery Wards or Savage Arms was hoping to find out exactly which one and what year it was made and whether a replacement barrel would be wise or even worth the money... (if i could even find 1) any help would be appreciated Thanx

Mossberg made most of the shotguns that Montgomery Wards sold under the Westernfield name but I am guessing that their single shots were made by Savage
Can you post a photo
