Electronic scales... which brand??

Which brand of electronic scale is good. Is there such a thing as an inexpensive one?? Any help would be appreciated. I noticed that midway has a PACT scale for $90.00, any good?

I have a Dillon digital scale that I really like. It's not as cheap as some scales available, but not nearly as expensive as the Denver Instruments scale, which runs about $400. The Dillon does a very good job, I've had mine for several years and used it to sort thousands of cases and cast bullets by weight.

I really like the RCBS. Also if you should ever decide to get their automatic powder dispencer, this scale can be used with it. As most electronic scales need a warm up period I've left my one for years now without any adverse effects.

I've tried most of 'em. None come close to my 8yr old Denver Instruments scale.

I would recommend the PACT scale, not their BBK, but their other scale.

BTW, PACT makes the RCBS scales.

Go with a PACT scale. PACT makes the scales for RCBS, and mine is extremely tough. Also, the PACT is cheaper than the RCBS. Go ahead and get the scale with the infrared port. It runs around $140-160 direct from PACT. Get a copy of Handloader magazine for a PACT ad....

I've got the PACT BBK scale and if I were to do it all over again, I would go with the more expesive scale and get the dispenser later(leaving your options open). The BBK is ok but it's kind of finicky; often have to re-zero and is somewhat slow, it does seem to hold calibration. I just use it to weight-sort brass and bullets, my beam scale does the powder work. I'll eventualy go with the scale and powder dispenser combo but this will do for now.

Those of you that have the automatic powder dispenser, is it worth it? How fast is it? I can use a LEE powder dipper(stick powder) and a trickler pretty efficiently.

bk40 - I was admiring some of the DI scales. Where did you buy yours? I can't find a dealer and the ones they list don't have DI scales on their websites.

Which model did you get? It looks like the XP models would be the ones to get for our purposes.
