anyone seen one other than at the Shot Show ?

is this a viable system for only the police and military or also for home defence?

Sounds interesting. Could sombody elaborate on how it looks/works for those of us who haven't seen one yet.

Is it DAO? or first shot DA, remaining SA?
Exposed hammer?
Can existing SA only 590s be converted by means of swapping out the trigger group?

A DA shotgun sounds like something that would be very desireable for everyone. I currenly store my 590 cruiser ready. It would be nice if I can keep a round in the chamber without being concerned about a cocked hammer.

as far as I know it is a permanent DAO with a enclosed hammer and standard safety. the trigger groups are of the same size so i think they could be swaped

the increase in firepower, especially in the short guns would be a big plus, with windscreens getting flatter and flatter for better aerodynamics the guns keep getting shorter.

the trigger pull is to be like that of a sig 220.

the mossberg home page lists them in diffrent versions in the law enforcement
section.

any further input is greatly apretiated

The idea of a DA trigger on a LE or HD shotgun seems like an answer to a question that hasn't been asked. ADs are mostly caused by inedaquate or improper training, not any problem with the standard setup.

However, it's A, your money, and B, your whatever on the line....

T&E'd one about a month ago. EXTREMELY heavy trigger pull. Bad enough that some female officers might have trouble with it. I'm not too keen on it as it stands, but if the trigger was lightened, I think it would be great. Maybe my pull gauge was defective, but it measured 14#.This might have just been this one gun.....but the officer that owns it now (we call him 'godzilla')likes the pull.
