SCAM Winchester Website!

Tried to order a magazine from Winchester and they do not take credit cards only e-currency. What a bunch of crap.

Moving to Retail Deals & Feedback.

I just visited Winchester's website and based on the appearance of the website it seems unlikely that you were on the official website.

Please provide the website you visited so other users will know what to avoid.

Apparent scam site

Here is the site:
winchestergunstore.com

winchesterguns.com is the valid winchester site and directs you to dealers to obtain parts

Can't believe I did not recognize it as a scam.

My $0.02 is that with all the government we are paying for can't SOME agency hunt down these frauds and put them out of business? Seems like it would be a 'bipartisan' thing to do.

And please don't tell me nothing can be done because they operate out of a foreign country. Our government has a bajillion agencies with a gazillion employees drawing paychecks that deal with foreign countries and we should be able to get one of these to do something useful (and right!) to get rid of these scammers. /rantoff

My strategy has been to go to the official website of whichever company and then contact them and ask them directly if a site is legitimate. I'm pretty sure there's a scam Tikka site out there just like the Winchester one

Last December, I bought a Winchester 100 Carbine in .243 Win. Something that I had looked for, for a long time. It was a closet queen and had not been fired much. Upon inspecting the bolt, I noticed the firing pin had not been change to the new design, after the 1985 recall. I called Winchester, and a nice lady answered and asked for the serial number. I gave it to her and she said it had not been change. I gave her my address and a week later, I received a new firing pin. I installed it myself. A month later I received a check for $30.00 from Winchester for an install fee. They were a little slow on the check, but were right on with the new firing pin. Not bad for a 1985 recall!
