black powder in colorado

ok.. does anyone from colorado know where i can find real blackpowder. i have made a few calls and so far no luck.. everyone says we have the synthetics.. but that doesnt help with my flintlock. or if anyone knows if you can still have it shipped to you. thanks for your help.

Haven't heard of any shipping changes. Maine Powder House still seems to be in business.

All these blackpowder "substitutes" really **** me off. There is NO substitute for blackpowder, and they make it harder to find the real thing. I believe you can order blackpowder from Track of the Wolf also. I feel your pain, it is REALLY hard to find blackpowder in Alaska and I can't get it shipped up here.

Guess it's time to post this again...

This was last updated 1/13; there have been some minor price increases since then. At least it answers the question about whether or not it can be shipped.

Wooo!!!hooo!!!!

i just called bass pro shopps. about 35 miles from here.
they stock goex. about 19 a lbs.. search is done. thanks guys for the input.

mountain man - Manitou Springs has it for $20 a lb. Bass pro the last time i went to the one in denver, only stocked substitute goex brand simmular to american pioneer. Pinnical i think it was called.

ya . i just found that out on thier website. i would rather give mountainman my buisiness anyway... and its not to much further away than bass pro . and a good excuse for a ride down there on the motorcycle .
