Just go like 10" and add on an real integral suppressor. Better flash suppression AND noise suppression

I am a big fan of the pinned 14.5" AR's. To the eye the difference in length does not seem so dramatic, but when you are holding both rifles the 14.5" handles noticeably better than the 16" in confined spaces. Here are my 16" and 14.5" pinned BCM mid-length's. While I haven't shot either past 100yds yet, both have been equally accurate at given distances, and the 14.5" shoots just as smooth as my 16". I will say the 14.5" does have a bit more blast but that could be due to the different muzzle devices on each rifle. Between the two the 14.5" is my go to rifle due to its compact size. Also as others have mentioned BCM is an excellent choice especially if you are going with a 14.5” mis length. 14.5” midnlengths dont have as optimal a dwell time as say a 16” mid length or a 14.5” carbine length. You want to make sure you buy a quality upper in 14.5” mid length to emsure its gassed properly.

I'm also a big fan, if lightweight and compact is your goal.
