Best caps for Colt 3rd Model Dragoon?

Used the last of my RWS #11 caps on the old Colt 3rd Model Dragoon (1970s production) and had to pinch each one a lot to get them to stay on the nipples. Some still fell off.
What is the best cap to use on it and where are they available?
Thanks!

Remington 10s or 11s. As far as where they can be found, Cabelas, Bass Pro, Walmart, Orscheln's, True Value, pawn shops, and your LGS all carry them; but may not have any on hand when you walk in.

Mail order from Cabelas, Powder Valley, and others; but on hand caveat still applies.

Dixie Gun Works has an article that may help.

Haven't seen one for a while (just ordered one) but Dixie Gun Works's catalog used to have a wealth of info beyond what's for sale. I recommend it.

I have some 10s and they are too big, at least the can says "10" ... and they look bigger than the few 11s I have left. I see on closer look the nipples on the Dragoon are tapered which may be why the caps have to be pinched to stay on?

What brand 10's do you have?

Remington 10s are pretty tight and not prone to the slippage and sliding about.

What is the difference physically between the #10 and #11 caps?
