Pearl Scot Powder

I have some obsolete powder (Pearl Scot). Can anyone post any loads for 9mm, 357, etc.? I found a load of 4 gr. of Pearl Scot for a 38 Sp, but have been unable to find loads for other calibers. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.

Cheers,

YJ

I kept a copy of the original scott powder manual. For 9mm 115 gr loads with pearl scot with a fmj at 1.114 oal. is 4.1- 4.6 with a jhp at 115 and oal of 1.030 the load is the same but slightly compressed. with 124 gr fmj at 1.114 oal the charge is also the same.
For the .357 mag I will list only the 158 gr load. others are available but there are many so if you want some other weight let me know. with a jfp at 1.570 oal 6.0-6.7grs of pearl scot. with a lead swc at 1.585 the range is 5.9-6.5 grs.

Hi Travis,

Thank you so much for the data. I wish I had a copy of that manual.

Could you please post loads for the 125 gr. JHP in 357?

Also, does the book show the use of Pearl Scot for .44 Sp. or 45 Auto? I would appreciate a couple of loads for those if you have them.

Again, thank you.

My "Loadbooks USA" manual for the .357 Magnum lists Scot powders, including Pearl Scot. These manuals are available from Midway.

Here's their website: http://loadbooks.com/
