Letter from ATF Special Tax Stamp!!
I have received a letter from ATF today stated that "We are unable to issue a special tax stamp to you at this time. We expect to have this matter resolved shortly and the stamp issue in the near future. We are issuing a temporary receipt under the authority of 27 CFR$479.26" Then at the bottom letter stated that "You are authorized to commence NFA operation and so on----"
Any one please let me know this means I can do transfering and deal with the NFA now and what is the tax stamp look like?

It looks like a big black stamp with light letters. They stick it to your copy of the Form 4.

are you a dealer or just purchasing one device for private use?
If you are a dealer, it's not really a stamp it's stamp receipt page that says Special Tax Stamp 2005 up in the corner. It has your EIN and a whole bunch of other stuff.... If an individual it's a small "stamp" on your form 4. |
