Can somebody Please Identify this 870

So I was offered this Remington 870 on a trade for my keltec pf9. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this is a classic trap, or an express, or what it is. Also how much the resale value would be. Just want to make sure im getting a good deal. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's polished blue steel & walnut, so it's not an express. There's no raised comb so it's not a trap gun. So it's a slightly special model of Wingmaster because of the "engraving".

The guy says it is a classic trap and chambers 3 1/2 inch and had removable chokes.However it does not have any of the gold inlay like the classic trap

The Classic Trap has a distinctive Monte Carlo high gloss finish stock which the gun pictured does not have. The high stock is what makes it a trap gun.

Im thinking it is an engraved express magnum but im not sure

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but it doesn't appear to have the matte finish of an express.

I think i found it is an engraved super mag wingmaster.

It appears to be a Wingmaster 3 1/2" Super Magnum, as made from 2000 to 2006
These had 28" vent rib barrels, high polish blue with engraving and high gloss walnut wood with cut checkering.

Value for one NIB is about $625.

Traditionally the older 1100's had a stamped pattern on the sides of the receiver, while 870 wingmasters were left plain. For only 2-3 years Remington made a few Wingmasters with this "engraving". Seems like it was during the late 80's, or early 90's. This looks like one of those Wingmasters. They might sell for a small premium over a standard Wingmaster, but I would be surprised if it were much more.

thanks everyone i did the trade i think i got a good deal. there is a small bit of surface rust on the reciever but over all good condition

3-1/2" Classic Trap. Now that is a classic. It's a Wingmaster Super-Mag. They are pretty desirable as they were only made in limited quantities, and a lot of people definitely prefer a Wingmaster to an Express, me among them.
