Walmart. Buy the cheapest stuff on the shelf. Your wallmart does not sell ammo? Write the president. Of walmart.

^^^This. Ammo doesn't get much cheaper than Federal "550" and Remington Golden Bullet bulk packs from Wally World. Test both and use whichever is more accurate in your gun(s). Both are generally more accurate, cleaner, and much more reliable than Remington Chunderbolt. (Chunder is Aussie slang for vomit. Pretty clever summary of T-bolt I think. )

Wally World is generally a good deal. If you watch sales online you can beat them though. Cabelas recently had Federal 375 round bulk packs on sale for $10 plus a deal for $20 off an order over $150 (something like that). I got 20 boxes (7500 rounds) shipped for $195, so I'm set for a while.

Federal bulk 550 round bulk pack is good stuff,,,

It is the one inexpensive ammo that runs well in all of my semi-auto pistols and rifles.

The Remington bulk packs run the guns well enough but I experience way to many dud rounds in a bulk pack.

CCI Blazer 22LR Bulk 525 box $14.99

If you live close to South Carolina, in Columbia we have the Palmetto State Armory. They have been selling Blazer 22LR bulk 525 box for $14.99 for a month or so. Sales tax in this State is 7%. So if you can drive to the store, it would be significantly cheaper than having it shipped. They also have a lot of other great buys. Lemmon

"currently for my cheap ammo I am buying remmington thunderbolt but I don;t like it"

Just curious , What is it you don't about it?

I shoot marlin 60's .22 semi-auto's and they love the federal lightenings.
Less than $2.00 a box of 50.

I have 3 marlin 60's 1 loves 555 winchester bulk,
and the one rifle I tryed with Remington THUNDER BOLTS Loved'em, NO FTF's, FTL. Or FTE. actually it hit 15 for 15 rangeing from 40 to 60 yds 1.5" plinker targets and hit 3 out of 5 1.5" plinker targets @ 100yds.

all 3 of the model 60 rifles that I have love the federal LIGHTENINGS 50 pk. for less than $2.00 a box of 50. NO FTF's with a jam or FTE 1 in about every 500

I get too many duds with the Remington Golden Bullets to buy them again. It's too bad they shoot so well in many of my guns...

So far, so good on the function of the Federal and Winchester bulk packs.

Wow all over the place...

When you are talking comparisons to price.

You need to talk more in how much each round cost.

So, the cheapest .22LR is around $0.029 -$0.034 each. Basically about 3 cents each.

Just as a benchmark
$0.03 each
$1.50 for box of 50
$15 for brick of 500

Right now a box of CCI Mini Mag's will run about $7-$8 per box (100 rounds). Making them about $0.07 - $0.08 cent per round.

As an idea for cheap. Let's use Cabela's if you catch it with free shipping.
A box Federal 375 round box for $13. Comes out to be about $0.035 per round. Not factoring in tax or shipping.
