springfield milspec 1911 HELP

Hey guys so im knee deep in this mil-spec and im going crazy. I bought a flat MSH for it and like an idiot I went into installing it with minimum research(I looked for the pin for about 20 minutes until I found out SA doesnt use a pin they have it in the box, ya its that kinda day). I got it off and now the hammer isnt locking at all, the safety isnt engaging and im just lost now. So I tried to backpedal and try and get the grip safety and all that off and I just cant do it. Can someone help me out with this I can post pics if that helps. EDIT Is there a way to get the grip safety is off when the MSH is removed also the 3 prong spring thing( I think sear spring) is also off. I need major help haha

Im pretty far beyond installing the MSH. The gun is just not functional right now. The hammer is not locking back, the safetys are not functional and im lost. Is there a way to remove the safety with the msh not installed?

To remove the safeties...

Cock the hammer.

Place the thumb safety about halfway between "safe" and "fire". (You'll have to hold it there with your fingers because the safety plunger will make it want to go to "safe" or "fire")

Pull the thumb safety away from the frame. (Be aware the safety plunger is spring loaded, but should not fly away if SA built the pistol correctly).

When the thumb safety is free, the grip safety will also be free.
