.223 Hornady Steel Match 55 GR
Has anyone had any experience with this round? The price is right.
I have had great results with the steel 7.62 x .39 Hornady in my Saiga. Thanks |

I bought a ton of the Hornady steel case training ammo, probably... 8-10 years ago now? Great stuff. Shoots like match ammo. Priced like blasting ammo.
Only downside is if your rifle doesn't like steel case. When I got it I had an Armalite M15 that was brilliantly accurate; but it didn't like Wolf. I figured the Hornady being better quality than cheap Russian stuff would run even if it was steel cased; but no luck. I even tried both the lacquer-coated and powder-coated version of Hornady steel cased. |

I've shot it but I'm not a big fan. I know some people feel differently about it. If you try it I would suggest you clean the chamber after shooting the steel before you fire any brass.

I will be firing it in my bolt guns only not my AR.
Mostly I am curious if you folks have found it is accurate as it claims. |
